Making the decision to home school in Trinidad and Tobago.

 Homeschooling in Trinidad and Tobago is not legal, I just thought I might start off by saying that. And I ask why  no one questions this? This form of education have been used for centuries with great success.So then why can't it be legal in Trinidad and Tobago, so that the parents who decide to do this will not be looked upon like some sort of criminal.

  If statistics shows that home schooling works then what is the problem. Parents need to first be true to them selves. You must ask your self and also pray about it. Friends and family will not understand when you decide to be different, but with time and progress everyone will see the good and over look the difference.
  
  
  You might have the desire, but don't know where to start. I say start with pray and a made up mind. After that you will need to do a lot of research and talks with teachers and parents whose children goes to public or private schools. 
  
  
  Before I took my daughter out of preschool, I did a lot of online research and came across some websites that made it simple for me. Of course they are all foreign base websites. But you will have to know what will help you and what is not necessary. Then in trying to localize your plan, you will need to talk to a local teacher who is teaching the same grade your child is in.
